NanoKnife

A Revolution in the Treatment of Prostate Cancer

With prostate cancer, most patients believe they have to choose between surgery or radiotherapy.

With NanoKnife or one of our other focal therapies, we can destroy the cancer in a targeted manner while preserving your prostate and your quality of life. In combination with immunotherapy, metastases can also be treated and the likelihood of recurrence reduced.

Advantages of NanoKnife treatment

A quick and gentle treatment.

90-95% potency maintenance rate*

100% continence preservation rate**, ***

  • Most men (90-95 percent) treated with the NanoKnife procedure retain potency.
  • * Urinary incontinence is the lack or inability of the body to safely store and self-directly empty the contents of the bladder. This leads to involuntary loss of urine. While there are several possible definitions of incontinence, a long-term study of incontinence after prostatectomy** concludes that a reasonable definition of incontinence is when a patient requires 2 or more pads per day 12 months after prostate surgery.

NanoKnife is a modern procedure for the targeted destruction of tumor cells using so-called irreversible electroporation (IRE). Short, precise electrical impulses are used to create tiny pores in the cell membranes of the cancer cells, triggering their natural cell death. Healthy tissue, such as nerves or blood vessels, remains undamaged. This allows us to treat prostate cancer effectively while preserving important functions such as potency and continence.

Our clinic has performed the most NanoKnife treatments worldwide and has excellent results in terms of low side effects (incontinence, impotence) and oncological control.

In order to assess whether/how much you could benefit from focal therapy, we would need to take a closer look at your records. To get a better assessment of your situation, please contact us.

In addition to NanoKnife therapy, we also offer combined treatment concepts, for example the combination of NanoKnife with immunotherapies. We can also successfully treat recurrences – i.e. relapses after surgery, radiotherapy or HIFU treatment – with NanoKnife. Our aim is always to find the best and most gentle therapy for our patients.

The costs vary greatly depending on the individual treatment plan and scope of therapy. Contact us so that we can give you a better estimate.

With us, many private insurances cover your treatment costs

Please clarify the cost coverage in advance with your health insurance company
