7 steps

for the treatment of your prostate cancer

1

SEND US YOUR FILES

  • All documents relevant to your prostate cancer (biopsy results, MRI images,
doctor’s reports, blood test results, etc.) are important for your initial assessment.

2

COMPREHENSIVE CASE REVIEW

  • Your Medical documents are reviewed by our expert team during our weekly Tumor Board and we will then reach out to you with a treatment plan personalised for your unique situation, walking you through every detail.

3

MRI-SCAN (Day 1)

  • An MRI scan is conducted the day before treatment to obtain up-to-date imaging, allowing us to accurately determine the exact ablation zone and ensure that the cancer can be fully removed.

4

CONSULTATION (Day 2)

  • One of our doctors will talk you through the treatment
  • Your attending physician and anaesthetist will guide you through the treatment and consent process.

5

TREATMENT DAY (Day 3)

  • On the day of treatment, you must arrive with an empty stomach (no food or drink) for a certain period before the procedure. The procedure takes approximately 2 hours. Afterwards, our medical staff will closely monitor you for another 90 to 120 minutes.

6

FINAL CHECK-UP (Day 4)

  • On the morning after your treatment, you will undergo a follow-up MRI. After that, you can leave the VITUS Private Clinic and start returning to your normal daily routine.
  • The catheter will remain in place for another 10 to 14 days and can be removed by your urologist back home.

7

AFTERCARE

  • We are available to you even after the treatment to ensure that you feel well and recover optimally. Our team is always ready to answer your questions and provide support if needed.

*Please note that the steps outlined above provide a general overview of the typical process for treating prostate cancer at our clinic. However, individual treatment plans may vary slightly based on specific patient needs, medical history, or other factors.
